Meeting Minutes ~ January 9, 2007

Meeting Overview
President Joanne Lukasik called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m.  

Treasurer’s Report
Joanne reported that there is a balance of $8641.58.  

Old Business
* The Frozen Assets have agreed to host Ruicci Cup again this year. The Puck N’ Chicks will also help by assisting with coverage for various tasks throughout the weekend. Thanks to both teams!  
* Bulls vs. Mission 12/6/06 game- In follow up from last month’s meeting, Adrianna had a conversation with the scheduler. The Board needs all documentation from the game to confirm the actual number of suspensions given to player involved in the fight. Joanne will talk to the Windsor Bulls and obtain the documentation. 
* Ref issues from Kensington, Adrianna is still working on getting documentation from complaints. She needs score sheets on specific referees that have been questionable as well as those that have done a good job. You can contact her at mshlric@hotmail.com.
* One complaint regarding the play of the Metro Blades was brought to the Board’s attention. We need more teams in that division to come forward with specific incidents so we can address.  

New Business
* There were several player eligibility requests brought to the Board for waiver of the 10 game minimum to play in Ruicci Cup. Sue McDowell (Iron Maidens), medical waiver approved, Kathy Cafferty (Ice Pack), medical waiver approved, Shawna Shaffer (Hammerheads), approved, Susan Butler (Capital Crush) medical waiver approved. 

MAHA/USA Hockey Report
Nothing new to report.

MSWHL Development Clinics
We are looking for more players for our clinics. Please encourage anyone you know that may be interested. Check the website for information and encourage women to sign up.

Ruicci Cup Deadlines:
DUE February 1st: 
o Ruicci Cup Fee: $350 Due to league Treasurer
Send to: Johnna Rhone, 140 Linden Ave. Royal Oak, MI 48073 
o Each player on the official roster must play 10 games by Feb. 1st with her MSWHL team of the current season to be eligible to play in the Ruicci Cup. 
DUE February 15th: 
o Listing of player names, jersey numbers and coach’s names participating in Ruicci Cup for the program and player passes.

DUE March 1st: 
o Ruicci Cup Credential Review form (see attached) with all attachments due to Ruicci Cup Coordinators

o Deadline for standings for seeding for Ruicci Cup. Be sure all score sheets are sent to your division director/statistician so they can compile the standings in time. 


Next league meetings are Monday, February 5th and Monday, March 5 at 7pm, Eddie Edgar Arena in Livonia.  All Division Directors are expected to attend or send a representative for the division.
