Meeting Minutes ~ February 5, 2007

Meeting Overview
President Joanne Lukasik called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.  

Treasurer’s Report
Joanne reported that there is a balance of $15,081.58

Old Business

* Ruicci cup trophies approved. Check for MAHA referee sanction fee released.  Scorekeeper and photographer status to be followed up on with Frozen Assets.
* Bulls vs. Mission 12/6/06 game-Issue resolved.
* Ref issues from Kensington-no report. Follow-up at March meeting.
* Complaint against Metro Blades-no report. Follow-up at March meeting.

 New Business

* Lady wings/Ice Pack incident-Written request from Ice Picks for board to review incident. Not enough information to warrant resolution.  Score sheet to be requested for review at March meeting.
* Dual rostering on Mission-Mission team management must fax or e-mail release for Leslie Davidson to MSWHL Board.  Issue also under review by MAHA.  Letter proposing dual rostering rule change sent to board by P. Madden (attached).
* Eligibility Waivers for Ruicci Cup reviewed and decisions as follows:
o Vargo-Polar Bears		Approved
o Edsall-Iron Maidens		Approved
o C. Kelly-Iron Maidens	Approved
o Brandt-Frozen Assets		Approved

MAHA/USA Hockey Report
Nothing new to report.

MSWHL Development Clinics
Two clinics remaining.  Information on MSWHL website for dates and location.  Invitation to be sent to all girls who participated in clinics to play in a scrimmage during Ruicci Cup.

Ruicci Cup Deadlines:
DUE February 1st: 
o Ruicci Cup Fee: $350 Due to league Treasurer
Send to: Johnna Rhone, 140 Linden Ave. Royal Oak, MI 48073 
o Each player on the official roster must play 10 games by Feb. 1st with her MSWHL team of the current season to be eligible to play in the Ruicci Cup. 
DUE February 15th: 
o Listing of player names, jersey numbers and coach’s names participating in Ruicci Cup for the program and player passes.

DUE March 1st: 
o Ruicci Cup Credential Review form (see attached) with all attachments due to Ruicci Cup Coordinators

o Deadline for standings for seeding for Ruicci Cup. Be sure all score sheets are sent to your division director/statistician so they can compile the standings in time. 
* Suggestion made to have a dedicated MSWHL registrar.  Requirements to be reported out at March meeting.
* Reiterated that MSWHL season is from October thru March, including and past Ruicci Cup. Forfeiting games without attempting to reschedule has been and is unacceptable.  Incidents should be brought to the Board's attention.

Next league meetings are Monday, March 5 at 7pm, Eddie Edgar Arena in Livonia.  All Division Directors are expected to attend or send a representative for the division.
