Important Registration Information
League application form and Player Credentials forms are due by July 31st to Ann Dobija at adobija@aol.com or 3187 21st Street, Wyandotte, MI 48192. Each team must fill out the League Application form including the Player Credentials Form if they are interested in skating for the 2008-2009 season. Click here for Player Credentials Form.

The next MSWHL Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26th at 7:00pm at Livonia Eddie Edgar arena in Community Room #1. The Livonia Eddie Edgar rink is on the west side of Farmington Road - 1/2 mile north of I-96. From I-96, go north on Farmington Road...go to first light and turn left on Lyndon. Rink is on the left.
All teams must send a representative. Please bring the league entry fee of $150 and your teams ice days/times to schedule the first half season. Division Directors and Division Statisticians will be selected by each division during the break-out sessions at the last half of the meeting.

New this year!
There will be a MANDATORY meeting for all new teams that are entering our league on Tuesday, September 9 at 7:00PM, at Eddie Edgar Arena. During this meeting the Board will highlight important information found in the MSWHL Handbook as well as answer any questions regarding league policies and procedures for the upcoming season. This meeting is OPEN to all teams and attendance is strongly encouraged.

Goalie Pool Substitution List

The MSWHL has consolidated a supplemental contact list for teams to use when trying to locate a substitute goalie for their team.

The Rules of the MSWHL “Goalie Borrowing Policy Article VIII”, apply to this pool. Click Here for the Goalie Pool Sub List. Please pay close attention to the Special Notes column as to which goalie to select as a sub for your team.

ONLY MSWHL players shall be allowed to register on the Goalie Pool Sub List, as per MSWHL Board Rules and Regulations. Please contact Lisa Mello (ltmello@umich.edu) if you are interested in being added to the Goalie Pool Sub List.

My name is Breanne Paret and I'm a 23 year old goalie looking for a place to play. I am currently in Mt. Pleasant, MI at college but I will be moving home to the Port Huron area in
May. I have played hockey since I was about 9 years old. Recently I have played on the Mt. Pleasant Chill that plays at a Novice/Rec level and the C men's league at the local rink. As of recently I have not been able to practice much so my skills do need some work but I want to play at the highest level possible and I am ready to work hard. Hi! I have been wanting to start playing ice hockey for the past few years now and I'm just now getting around to it. I'm 19 years old and I've been playing street and roller hockey for about 8 years. Hi! My name is Lauren and I'm moving to Michigan in February. I'm looking for a place to play competitive women's hockey. I'll be in Midland, but I'm willing to commute for a good team. Since I'll be coming out there at the end of the season, I'm mostly looking for a place to play in the summer and next season. I've been a goaltender since I was a teenager and have played at a variety of levels. Most recently I've been playing with a Senior B team in Oakland, CA. I'd like to play against the best possible shooters, but I'm also looking for a friendly team that likes to play for the fun of it. 06/22/08: New Intermediate I team forming for the 2008/2009 season. We will be
playing out of the Hartland Ice House and we are looking for a few more players to fill out the roster, both forward and defense positions open. We are a fun group that likes be competitive too. 04/13/08: The Nighthawks are recruiting players for the 2008/2009 season. Lots of positions open; e-mail dgiordano@plunkettcooney.com if interested, or refer any friends who are looking for a team.

The league is a beginners program where new players can learn the basics of the game in a fun and friendly environment. The league will consist of a series of instructional sessions (covering all of the fundamentals of the game of ice hockey) and run concurrent with the regular MSWHL season (September to March).

The MSWHL is looking for an individual to organize and run the Development League for the upcoming 2007-08 season. This would include the following : scheduling ice time (approx. 2 times a month), collecting signup forms, USA hockey registration forms from participants and money from participants, paying for ice time at arenas. Also, the individual would be responsible for getting qualified coaches to help run all clinics. Anyone interested in organizing this for the upcoming season, please send your qualifications to the MSWHL (league board - listed under alerts and notices above).

Lincoln Park Rec League:

MACHRL Recreation League
The women's MACHRL rec league in A2 is in dire need of goalies. We are a rare breed!! The league skates every Friday, four games starting at 7:50 PM. Goalies have no long term commitments, that is they are not on specific teams and can sign up for as many games as they wish on the MACHRL website (http://www.macrhl.org/goalie.htm). Players range from beginner to those who have played college club hockey. If you know of anyone who would like to get some free practice in game situations, please, PLEASE send this on. It's a bummer to see both nets empty.
