Defenses ruled the day when Frozen Assets got the better of Metro Blades 1 - zip at Detroit Skate-Club Bloomfield on Friday. Frozen Assets chalked up one goal to take the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Frozen Assets kept its lead. Metro Blades's fate was sealed. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Frozen Assets held on to its lead, and was the winner.

Metro Blades ended the game with a record of 5-8.
