Defenses slugged it out, but Swarm beat The Other Team D5 2 - 1 at John Lindell Ice Arena in Royal Oak on Saturday. Swarm racked up one unanswered goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Swarm retained its lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Swarm kept the lead for the win.

Shellie Martin and Becky Darr each tallied one goal for Swarm. Debra Demski made two points.

Katherine Adamek contributed one goal for The Other Team D5.

The Other Team D5 ended the game with a record of 1-17.
